This ceremony is a celebratory experience for the GW School of Business graduating students of online programs, their families, and guests.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023!

All Class of 2023 undergraduate seniors are invited to this celebratory reception welcoming you into the GW Alumni Association. The event includes light refreshments, a champagne toast, and brief remarks from GW alumni and student leaders. Doors open at 11:50 a.m. Pre-registration for this event is now closed. If you would like to attend this event, you may register at the door.

Athletics Commencement is a ceremony to recognize student athletes who are competing during Commencement Week and cannot attend their school celebrations to be individually recognized and walk across the stage. This year’s ceremony on May 16 will recognize student athletes on the baseball team who are participating in a tournament during their school celebration.

Annually in May during the week of GW graduation our School of Nursing Phi Epsilon Sigma Chapter holds an in person event for eligible students who have accepted the induction invitation.  These students will be inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, our chapter and receive their Sigma honor cord which they can wear at other GW graduation events.  This is an intimate ceremony with SON leadership, Phi Epsilon leadership, faculty, students, nurse leaders, keynote speaker, family and friends in attendance. This is the induction ceremony for the national society of the Order of the Engineer. All School of Engineer and Applied Science seniors graduating from an ABET-accredited engineering core curriculum (biomedical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and systems engineering) are eligible to participate. Due to capacity restraints, this event is for graduates only. Participating graduates MUST ARRIVE when doors open at 3:30 PM. No one will be admitted once the ceremony starts.

This is the induction ceremony for The Pledge of the Computing Professional. All SEAS seniors graduating with a degree in computer science are eligible to participate. The George Washington University Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society of Public Health will welcome the new inductees during this event. The event will be hosted by Dean Lynn Goldman and the GW Delta Omega Executive Board. Inductees, guests of inductees and members of Delta Omega are welcome to join us for a reception and ceremony.  At the end of each semester, GW Nursing hosts a graduation ceremony for our nursing graduates. This intimate ceremony, presided over by the dean, brings together our nationwide community of students, faculty and staff. Graduates will hear from leading speakers while celebrating their success in education and next step in their career. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Limit 6 guests.

The reception will follow the School of Nursing Graduation Celebration! Graduating students are welcome to bring two guests to the reception. We hope you will join us for some light refreshments before you leave for the day.
